Students Deliver Market Research Report for L3S Startup KIMIA

A group of Master’s students in Economics at Leibniz University Hannover has prepared a comprehensive market research report for the L3S startup KIMIA, analysing the acceptance and market position of AI-based content creation tools, providing valuable insights into the acceptance and market position of AI-based content creation tools. The project was conducted as part of a course at the Institute of Marketing and Management, supervised by Dr. Evmorfia Karampournioti.

KIMIA is an AI-powered platform that enables companies to create, plan, and publish their social media content efficiently and in line with their brand identity. At its core lies a self-developed brand model that derives a consistent brand voice and audience personas from company-specific sources.

As part of the seminar, the students Thomas Gödde, Malte Wendt, Klement Prelle, Christoph Schwarze, and Luisa Kretschmann conducted 15 expert interviews and performed additional analyses to assess market acceptance, identify niches, and explore entry barriers for new providers of AI-based content tools. The experts highlighted clear efficiency and productivity gains, while also expressing concerns regarding quality, authenticity, and data protection. Based on their findings, the students developed practical recommendations for KIMIA.

Through this collaboration, KIMIA benefited from direct feedback from potential users and fresh insights from academic research, enabling the startup to align the further development of its platform more closely with real market needs.

KIMIA is now preparing for its first round of pilot testing, with the official platform launch planned soon.
