WindGISKI

Development and Evaluation of an AI-based GIS for the designation of potential areas for wind turbines.

The main goals of this project are the development and evaluation of an AI-based GIS for the designation of potential areas for wind turbines, which on the one hand automates the process of identification and evaluation of potential areas and on the other hand improves the quantity and quality of designated potential areas. The AI-based GIS shall therefore contribute to significantly increasing the total installed power of wind energy in Germany by enabling a more comprehensive and efficient surveying of future potential areas for wind turbines.
