L3S member Maria-Esther Vidal, Professor at Leibniz University Hannover and Head of the Scientific Data Management Research Group at TIB, has been accepted a member of the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS). The aim of ELLIS is to strengthen Europe’s sovereignty in modern AI research. The members are committed to human-centred, beneficial and safe AI. The L3S is now represented at ELLIS with seven members: In addition to Vidal, the L3S members Wolfgang Nejdl, Sören Auer, Marius Lindauer, Bodo Rosenhahn and Markus Magnor as well as L3S research group leader Daniel Kudenko are also part of the network.
