DAISEC awarded EU funding for another three years

The L3S Research Center is pleased to announce that the DAISEC (European Digital Innovation Hub for AI and Cybersecurity) has been awarded a three-year funding extension by the EU through 2028. Starting in January 2026, the DAISEC will enter its second phase as European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) to support the use of AI applications and cybersecurity measures in SMEs and public institutions in Lower Saxony and beyond.

Since January 2023, the DAISEC has been working under the EU’s “Digital Europe” program, with funding split equally between the EU and national sources, to support Lower Saxony companies in the fields of skilled crafts, mobility, and production, as well as public sector institutions, in their digitalization efforts. The DAISEC team of experts coordinates the entire process, from needs analysis to implementation, in close cooperation with its consortium partners.

This funding extension and continued EDIH status reflect strong confidence in DAISEC’s work and its vision for sustainable digitalization. As coordinator, the L3S Research Center looks forward to three more years of supporting regional businesses and public institutions in their digital transformation.
