At the 10th L3S Town Hall Meeting on 6 February 2026, outstanding research results took centre stage alongside current developments and new projects. Prof. Dr. Bodo Rosenhahn, Director of L3S, presented the Best Publication Awards to eighteen publications from the third and fourth quarters of 2025. All studies were presented at A* conferences or published in Q1 journals. They exemplify the thematic breadth and international visibility of L3S research:
- Fed-FUEL: Fairness and Utility Enhancing Agnostic Federated Learning Framework
- ConstrainTree: Enhancing Decision Trees with Semantic Constraint Validation
- VANILLA: Validated Knowledge Graph Completion – A Normalization-based Framework for Integrity, Link Prediction, and Logical AccuracyHyperSHAP: Shapley Values and Interactions for Explaining Hyperparameter Optimization
- Towards an Ontology-Driven Approach to Document Bias.
- Enhancing Temporal Understanding in Video-LLMs through Stacked Temporal Attention in Vision Encoders
- Neural Attention Search
- DeepCAVE: A Visualization and Analysis Tool for Automated Machine Learning
- EmoNet-Face: An Expert-Annotated Benchmark for Synthetic Emotion Recognition
- Generalizable and Fast Surrogates: Model Predictive Control of Articulated Soft Robots using Physics-Informed Neural Networks
- CHiQPM: Calibrated Hierarchical Interpretable Image Classification
- SPAN: Learning Similarity between Scene Graphs and Images with Transformers
- Optimization-driven Quantum Circuit Reduction
- Audio Monitoring of Bone Cement Disintegration in Pulsating Fluid Jet Surgery under Laboratory Conditions
- Breaking the Lens of the Telescope: Online Relevance Estimation over Large Retrieval Sets
- AI-Driven Personalized Nutrition: Integrating Omics, Ethics, and Digital Health
- Hybrid pathfinding optimization for the Lightning Network with Reinforcement Learning
