OffshorePlan2

Offshore plan-complementary using mathematical and event based discrete models for handling complex offshore wind farm installation strategies

“OffshorePlan2” builds on the success of the initial “OffshorePlan” project, aiming to further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics processes in offshore construction projects. The project’s core is the development of an innovative cascading framework concept that combines two key modeling approaches—mathematical and simulation-based models—to optimize planning and decision-making processes. This integrated approach allows for more accurate forecasting and planning of logistics processes, considering specific challenges such as variable weather conditions and the complexity of resource distribution. The goal is to make construction phases more efficient, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impacts. Improved planning accuracy aims to prevent project delays and increase safety on construction sites. “OffshorePlan2” seeks to set a new industry standard for planning and executing offshore construction projects, significantly contributing to the promotion of renewable energy.
