Ralph Ewerth is Head of Visual Analytics Research Group at the  Technische Informationsbibliothek in Hanover.

Research Focus

The key research areas – with a special focus on research data – are in the areas of visual analytics, information and media retrieval, as well as usability.

Curriculum Vitae

Ralph Ewerth studied computer science with a minor in psychology in Frankfurt am Main and Marburg. After his PhD in Marburg in 2008, he headed the research area Multimedia Computing at the Chair of Distributed Systems at Philipps-Universität Marburg from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, he was Professor of Digital Image Processing and Media Technology at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena, and since the beginning of 2015, he has also been Vice Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
