The following position at the L3S Research Center is available for 12 months, starting as soon as possible:

Student Assistant / Research Assistant in the Field of Applying Large Language Models (up to 60 hours per month)

The position is limited to 12 months and may be extended if required.

Your role

Your tasks will include supporting and contributing to the NatLit project, for example by:

  • Developing a natural language query interface
  • Analysing and preparing library metadata to optimise search
  • Annotating and evaluating user interaction data
  • Conducting literature reviews


Who are we looking for?

A prerequisite for employment is valid enrolment at a German university, ideally in a degree programme relevant to the position.

In addition, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Very good German language skills
  • Very good Python programming skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team, reliability, a sense of responsibility and flexibility
