L3S Terence Workshop

Theme: “Game-based learning for improving Children’s Comprehension of written Stories”


This workshop is organized in the context of the EU project: TERENCE, which started in October 2010. The goal of the project is to design, develop and evaluate an Adaptive Learning System for improving children’s reading comprehension and reasoning about written stories. The objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers from the fields of Computer Science and Educational/Pedagogical Psychology around the topics of e-Learning, Games-based learning, Literacy, Reading Comprehension and Reasoning about stories. The participants will exchange ideas as well as experiences in designing and/or evaluating the application of different approaches for technology-enhanced learning.
