Student Assistant - System Administration (m/f/t)

At L3S, we are continuously looking for highly motivated students to assist with the administration of Linux servers and a bunch of windows workstations.

Depending on prior experience and knowledge, you can help us with the

  • maintenance of the IT infrastructure including multimedia services

  • maintenance of web services (Apache and Nginx)

  • web programming (HTML, PHP, CSS within a Drupal/WordPress environment)

  • 1st-level support (we have a ticketing system).

We expect:

  • knowledge of a Linux shell

  • knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., python)

  • fluent in German and English (in order to communicate with people and technical documentation)

  • reliability

  • high motivation and willingness to learn new things
