The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has a vacancy for a Research Assistant (Doctoral Candidate, m/f/d) Didactics of Computer Science (EntgGr. 13 TV-L, 100 %) to be filled as soon as possible. The position is part of the newly established professorship for Digital Education and Didactics of Computer Science and is funded within the framework of the BMBF project "Leibniz AI Academy". The position is initially limited to three years and the possibility of a doctorate is offered.


The area of responsibility includes the preparation and implementation of teaching and research projects for learning artificial intelligence topics as well as the development and systematic evaluation of interactive learning technologies. Furthermore, teaching tasks include participation in the study programmes of computer science and the computer science teaching profession.

Recruitment requirements

A prerequisite for employment is a successfully completed academic university degree (Master's or Diplom) in Computer Science, Computer Science Teaching or a related course of study. Proof of above-average academic performance is expected. A pronounced interest in teaching is just as much a prerequisite as enjoyment of scientific work. A very good command of German and a good command of written and spoken English are expected, as well as creativity, the ability to work in a team, self-motivation and self-organisation. Knowledge in the areas of artificial intelligence, web technologies and/or didactics is also advantageous.
