How do SMEs become permanently future-ready and resilient with digitalisation and artificial intelligence? At the kick-off event of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hannover on 22 July 2021, experts from the manufacturing industry, crafts and gastronomy will present successful digitisation projects and discuss future prospects for SMEs. The varied programme includes a keynote, interview and talk round on the topic of digitalisation.
The extensive support services of Germany's first SME Digital Centre, which seamlessly follow on from the work of the SME 4.0 Competence Centre Hannover, will also be presented. The L3S continues to be a project partner for the area of artificial intelligence. The centre's AI trainers, including Hubert Truchan from L3S, educate people about the topic of artificial intelligence with workshops, company visits, lectures and many other offers. In doing so, they enable companies to recognise the opportunities and challenges of the new technology and implement concrete applications together with them. All of the centre's offerings continue to be free of charge thanks to funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
In addition to the kick-off event, there are 14 lecture dates on seven different digitalisation topics within two weeks: Starting on 26 July, experts from the SME Digital Centre will explain specific topics of digitisation in ten minutes in the lecture series "To the point!". Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas with the speakers and discuss use cases.
