At the L3S research centre, three posts are available as
Science! staff member (m/f/d) - Artificial Intelligence (EntgGr. 13 TV-L, 100 ü/o)
to be filled as soon as possible. The positions are initially limited to 1-3 years (December 2022, April 2023, March 2024) depending on the project, with the possibility to
Extension, and offer the possibility of doctoral studies. The scope of the position corresponds to 100 °10
of the collectively agreed working hours.
In the context of new research projects of the L3S, methods of artificial intelligence and in particular machine learning will be applied and further developed in the fields of medicine, education and biodiversity, among others, with clinical and genomic data, as well as text and social media data. Your task will be to work independently on relevant research questions and subprojects together with all project partners, to develop open source software and to publish scientific results of your research.
The prerequisite for employment is a completed scientific university degree (master's or diploma) in computer science or from a similar field. ideally, you will also bring in-depth knowledge in the focus areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning. You should have the ability and willingness to work with experts from different scientific and technical disciplines. Furthermore, a very good command of English is required; knowledge of German is also an advantage.
