At the L3S Research Center, three positions as Scientific Assistant (m/f) - Artificial Intelligence (EntgGr. 13 TV-L, 100%) are to be filled at the earliest possible date.
The positions are initially limited until 31.12.2022 and offer the possibility to do a doctorate. The number of positions corresponds to 100% of the collectively agreed working time.
Within the scope of current research projects of the L3S, new methods of artificial intelligence and especially machine learning are applied and further developed in the fields of production, mobility and medicine, among others with regard to interpretability, transferability and applicability in dynamic and time-consuming processes. Its task is to independently work on corresponding research questions and sub-projects together with all project partners and to publish research results at international conferences and in specialist journals.
Conditions of employment
To be eligible for recruitment, candidates must have a degree (master's or diploma) in computer science or a similar field. Ideally, you will also have in-depth knowledge in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You should have the ability and willingness to work with experts from different scientific and technical disciplines as well as from industry. Furthermore, very good German and English language skills are expected both orally and in writing.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally and to publish at international conferences as part of your doctoral project. You will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with scientists at an international level.
The position is suitable for part-time staff, provided that this can be fully covered by the position as a whole.
