With the funding programme LINK - Artificial Intelligence in Art and Culture, the Foundation Stiftung Niedersachsen has been exploring the intersection between culture and artificial intelligence (AI) since the beginning of 2019. With LINK-Masters, the foundation, together with the Volkswagen Foundation, is now announcing the funding of interdisciplinary project work. The aim is to develop exemplary AI projects in the cultural sector and to network the various experts from the fields of art, culture and information technology. The application deadline is 31 July 2020.
A jury, which includes L3S Director Prof. Dr. Bodo Rosenhahn, will select three projects from the applications in a three-stage process, each of which will receive 150,000 € for the realisation of the project in the following 12 to 18 months.
