Jun.-Prof. Dr. Stefanie Büchner accepted into the Junge Akademie as an outstanding scientist

L3S member Dr. Stefanie Büchner, junior professor at the Institute for Sociology at Leibniz University Hannover, is one of ten outstanding scientists and artists who were admitted to the Junge Akademie on the evening of 25 May 2019 as part of a festive event.

Over the next five years, the new members will be able to work together with the other 40 in working groups on topics such as Organise "cultures of conflict", "science policy" or "art as research" and work on projects of all kinds in an interdisciplinary manner. The aim of the Young Academy is to give young scientists and artists the opportunity to work creatively at the interface between science and society alongside their actual research. A prerequisite for membership is an outstanding doctorate, which should not have been awarded more than three to seven years ago at the time of election, as well as at least one other outstanding work.
