Die Inhalte von Webseiten kommen in der Regel von Menschen, die sehen können. Und auch die Nutzer brauchen höchstens eine Brille, um die Seiten zu lesen. Bislang gilt das auch für SlideWiki<\/em>, einer Plattform zur Erstellung offener Lehrmaterialien (siehe linke Seite). Dass auch Blinde und Sehbehinderte SlideWiki <\/em>nutzen können, ist das Ziel des Projekts \u00a0Inclusive Open Course Ware<\/em>\u00a0(InclusiveOCW<\/em>) <\/a>.  Ein multidisziplinäres Team aus Experten der Erwachsenenbildung des Berufsförderungswerks für Blinde<\/em> (BfW<\/em>) in Halle und der Zentralbibliothek für Blinde<\/em> (ZBB<\/em>) in Leipzig sowie Informatikern von L3S<\/em>, Fraunhofer IAIS<\/em> (Bonn) und TIB<\/em> arbeiten gemeinsam daran, die Nutzeroberfläche entsprechend weiterzuentwickeln und Inhalte automatisch zu erschließen.<\/p><\/p>\n

Das\u00a0L3S<\/em>\u00a0ist in zweierlei Hinsicht involviert: Die Arbeitsgruppe\u00a0Data Science & Digital Libraries<\/em>\u00a0(Prof. Auer) passt die Nutzeroberfl\u00e4che an die Bed\u00fcrfnisse von Sehbehinderten an. Dazu analysieren die Wissenschaftler in Zusammenarbeit mit BfW<\/em>\u00a0und\u00a0ZBB<\/em>\u00a0die aktuelle Plattform, sammeln nutzergruppenspezifische Anforderungen und setzen sie um, zum Beispiel mithilfe von Screen-Readern und Gro\u00dfschriftsystemen.<\/p>\n

Die Arbeitsgruppe Visual Analytics<\/em> (Prof. Ewerth) entwickelt ein System, das Bilder auf Webseiten automatisch erfasst und beschreibt. Dafür soll das System zunächst abschätzen, wie wichtig ein Bild ist \u2012 ob es sich also um eine Grafik handelt, die für das Verständnis des Lehrinhalts notwendig ist, oder ob sie eher der Seitengestaltung dient. Weiterhin soll es verschiedene Bildtypen unterscheiden können, da die Beschreibung mathematischer Funktionsplots anders aussieht als die politischer Karikaturen. Das System bewertet automatisch die Qualität der generierten „Übersetzungen“ und zieht im Zweifelsfall das Lehrpersonal für Ergänzungen hinzu.<\/p>\n

Mit der Integration von InclusiveOCW<\/em> gelingt es der Plattform SlideWiki<\/em>, dass Sehende und Menschen mit Seheinschränkung kollaborativ neue Lehrmaterialien schaffen und bestehende gemeinsam erschließen können. InclusiveOCW,<\/em> the SlideWiki<\/em> platform enables sighted and visually impaired people to collaboratively create new teaching materials and jointly develop\n existing ones.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
