<!---->\n                            <div class=\"\">\n                              <p>K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz schreibt Texte, erkennt Bilder und navigiert durch Stra\u00dfen. Doch f\u00fcr viele Aufgaben unseres Alltags braucht es mehr als das \u2013 Maschinen, die sich in ihrer Umgebung zurechtfinden, Dinge greifen, tragen oder reparieren k\u00f6nnen. Der L3S-Schwerpunkt \u201eAgentic and Embodied AI\u201c befasst sich mit genau solchen Systemen: KI, die selbstst\u00e4ndig handelt (Agentic AI) und zugleich physisch mit der Welt interagiert (Embodied AI).<\/p>\n                              <p><strong style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Agentic AI \u2013 die handelnde KI<\/strong><\/p>\n                              <p>Agentic AI bezeichnet lernf\u00e4hige Systeme, die komplexe Aufgaben Schritt f\u00fcr Schritt l\u00f6sen und sich dabei flexibel auf aktuelle Gegebenheiten einstellen. Sie lernen durch Feedback \u2013 zum Beispiel, wenn sie im Schach gewinnen \u2013 und erreichen so oft \u00fcbermenschliche Ergebnisse.<\/p>\n                              <p>Die g\u00e4ngigste Methode daf\u00fcr hei\u00dft Reinforcement Learning (RL): Die KI wird durch simulierte Interaktionen trainiert, bevor sie reale Aufgaben \u00fcbernimmt \u2013 etwa die Steuerung eines Roboters. Doch ein Problem bleibt: Viele Modelle funktionieren nur in der Umgebung, in der sie trainiert wurden. Mit CARL, einer am L3S entwickelten Testumgebung, l\u00e4sst sich erstmals gezielt pr\u00fcfen, wie gut solche Systeme auf neue Situationen reagieren \u2013 und wie sich ihre \u00dcbertragbarkeit verbessern l\u00e4sst. \u201eWir konnten nicht nur feststellen, wann die Leistung abnimmt, zum Beispiel bei geringerer Bodenreibung, sondern auch, dass die strukturierte Integration von Umweltvariablen dem entgegenwirken kann\u201c, sagt Dr. Theresa Eimer, Forschungsgruppenleiterin am L3S.<\/p>\n                              <p>Eimer will mit ihrem Team auch die Anwendung von RL-Algorithmen vereinfachen: Automatic Reinforcement Learning (AutoRL) soll eigenst\u00e4ndig die bestm\u00f6glichen Trainingseinstellungen f\u00fcr neuartige Aufgaben finden \u2013 ein wichtiger Schritt, um RL auch f\u00fcr komplexe Anwendungen wie in der Robotik praktikabler zu machen. Adaptive Systeme k\u00f6nnen dabei ihre Modelle und Parameter laufend optimieren. Ein Beispiel ist GrowNN (Growing Neural Networks in Deep Reinforcement Learning): Es startet mit einem einfachen Modell und erweitert dessen Kapazit\u00e4t automatisch, wenn die Aufgabe komplexer wird.<\/p>\n                              <p><span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Embodied AI \u2013 der KI einen K\u00f6rper geben<\/span><\/p>\n                              <p>Embodied AI beschreibt KI-Systeme, die \u00fcber Sensoren und Aktuatoren mit der realen Welt interagieren. Oft handelt es sich um digitale Zwillinge, virtuelle Sensoren oder andere Sch\u00e4tzsysteme, die auf physischen Systemen laufen. \u201eModerne Verfahren wie FranSys  erm\u00f6glichen dies schnell und pr\u00e4zise auf Basis der Messdaten eines Systems \u2013 sei es ein Roboterarm oder eine Drohne\u201c, sagt Dr.-Ing. Daniel Weber, der FranSys (Fast recurrent neural network-based method for multi-step-ahead nonautoregressive System Identification) mitentwickelt hat.<\/p>\n                              <p>Eine bekannte Schwachstelle von KI-Modellen ist ihre begrenzte \u00dcbertragbarkeit. F\u00fcr jedes neue System muss daher meist ein eigenes Modell trainiert werden. Mit RIANN (Robust IMU-based Attitude Neural Network) konnten Weber und seine Co-Autoren erstmals zeigen, dass ein allgemeing\u00fcltiges Modell die r\u00e4umliche Orientierung auf verschiedenen Systemen nicht nur zuverl\u00e4ssig sch\u00e4tzt, sondern spezialisierten Ans\u00e4tzen sogar \u00fcberlegen ist.<\/p>\n                              <p>Noch einen Schritt weiter geht RING (Recurrent Inertial Graph-based Estimator). \u201eDas Modell wird vollst\u00e4ndig in der Simulation trainiert und funktioniert anschlie\u00dfend ganz einfach als Plug-and-Play-L\u00f6sung\u201c, sagt Weber. Eine weitere M\u00f6glichkeit, Modelle robuster zu machen, ist, physikalisches Wissen direkt einzubinden, etwa in Form von Differentialgleichungen in PINNs (Physics-Informed Neural Networks). Dies minimiert bei pr\u00e4zisem Modellwissen den Bedarf an Trainingsdaten f\u00fcr robuste Modelle.<\/p>\n                              <p><span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Agentic Embodied AI \u2013 wenn KI wirklich handelt<\/span><\/p>\n                              <p>Die Kombination von Agentic und Embodied AI er\u00f6ffnet ganz neue M\u00f6glichkeiten: Systeme, die intelligent mit der physischen Welt interagieren. Ein vielversprechender Ansatz ist die modellpr\u00e4diktive Regelung (MPC), bei der ein Roboter seine Aktionen vorausschauend plant. Diese Methode erfordert jedoch extrem schnelle Simulationen. Die elegante L\u00f6sung: PINN for MPC. Diese KI-Modelle haben die Physik des Systems bereits verinnerlicht \u2013 und erm\u00f6glichen dadurch eine blitzschnelle, vorausschauende Regelung.<\/p>\n                            <\/div>\n
