KI hilft nicht nur dabei, vorhandenes Wissen besser auffindbar und leichter verf\u00fcgbar zu machen. KI ist auch von unsch\u00e4tzbarem Wert bei der Suche nach neuen Materialien, chemischen Verbindungen und biologischen Wirkstoffen, etwa um Solarenergie effizienter nutzen oder Medikamente gegen neu auftretende Krankheitserreger entwickeln zu k\u00f6nnen. Dabei stehen Wissenschaftler vor gro\u00dfen Herausforderungen: Sie haben chemisch und biologisch nahezu unendlich viele M\u00f6glichkeiten. Solche Entdeckungen erfordern eine durchg\u00e4ngige KI-gest\u00fctzte Automatisierung \u2013 von der Versuchsplanung bis zur Durchf\u00fchrung und Analyse.<\/p>\n                    <p>Die heutigen computergest\u00fctzten Lernsysteme sind noch nicht in der Lage, das volle Potenzial der KI-gest\u00fctzten Material-, Chemie-, Umwelt- und Biowissenschaften auszusch\u00f6pfen. Wir brauchen neue KI-Methoden, die sowohl komplexe Ph\u00e4nomene vorhersagen als auch Einblicke in die zugrundeliegenden Prozesse geben k\u00f6nnen. Solche Methoden werden die Grundlage sein, um ma\u00dfgeschneiderte Systeme zu entwickeln, die in der Lage sind, die gro\u00dfen globalen Herausforderungen in den Bereichen Gesundheit und Umwelt zu bew\u00e4ltigen.
