Notable themes of the Summer School included Data Science, Web Mining & Information Extraction, Social Web & Online Learning, Web-scale Crowdsourcing & Human Computation, Big Data & Web Semantics, Web & Society. An entertaining social program including a social dinner and a BBQ evening, ensured a lively balance between work an play throughout the week.

The summer school ended with interesting group presentations from students that showcased some of the learnings which took place through the course of the week. Sincere thanks are given to the sponsors of the summer school without whom the great success of WWSSS'18 would not have been possible!
