My name is Eelco Herder. I work as a postdoc at the
L3S Research Center in Hannover, where I conduct research in the field
of Human-Computer Interaction. My specialization is Adaptive Hypermedia.
I am currently project leader for the European Project TenCompetence and workpackage leader for Grapple. I have been the general manager for the PROLEARN NoE and will be involved in the successor NoE Stellar as well. In 2008 I was the local chair for the Adaptive Hypermedia 2008 Conference. I am co-founder and secretary of the European Association for Technology-Enhanced Learning, EATEL. Despite my heavy involvement in e-learning, my main interest is Web Personalization in general.
Most of my spare time is dedicated to music. I play the piano, solo and together with my partner, opera tenor Kristof Schliep. Together we have a theatre program with German songs from the 1920s and 1930s. I also sing in a choir, the Capella St. Crucis.
On these personal pages, you can learn a bit more about me, my research and my other interests. Should you have any reason to contact me, please do so.
