mit wahlweise 50%, 75% oder 100% zum nächstmöglichen Termin zu besetzen. Die Stellen sind zunächst auf 1 Jahr befristet, weitere Verlängerungen sind möglich.
Die Hauptaufgaben liegen in der Mitarbeit in europäischen Forschungsprojekten mit insbesondere datenschutzrechtlichen Schwerpunkten.
Voraussetzung für die Einstellung ist mindestens das erste Juristische Staatsexamen. Kenntnisse im IT-Recht; insbesondere Kenntnisse im Datenschutz und/oder Medizinrecht und/oder Medizinethik sind von Vorteil. Erforderlich sind zudem gute Englischkenntnisse, die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft zur selbstständigen wissenschaftlichen und organisatorischen Arbeit und die Bereitschaft, den Lebensmittelpunkt nach Hannover zu verlegen.

Junior Professorship
(BesGr. (Salary Scale) W 1 BBesO), in Web Information Retrieval and Social Search
This new professorship focuses on Web Information Retrieval and Social Search, in the context of the focus topic “Connected World” within the faculty, as well as the L3S Research Center with its focus on Web Science. The owner of this position will represent the area of Web Information Retrieval both in research as well as in graduate teaching. Active participation, third party project acquisition and research in the L3S Research Center is possible and important.
Applicants are expected to have completed their Ph.D. degree on topics relevant for the World Wide Web, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Social Networks or related areas, and should already have achieved a strong research and publication record in their area. International cooperations and project management experience are useful as well.
The general tasks, responsibilities and required qualification for employment are specified in the Higher Education Act of Niedersachsen (NHG). Information on specific aspects will be supplied upon request.

Querschnittstelle Technik und Betrieb (Teilzeit, 50 %)
Das L3S ist ein Forschungszentrum für neue, zukunftsweisende Methoden und Technologien im Bereich Web Science und beschäftigt ca. 70 Angestellte auf nationalen und internationalen Forschungsprojekten. Wir suchen eine/n engagierte/n, kreative/n Hochschul- oder FH-Absolventin bzw. -Absolventen, der unsere technischen Systeme im Hinblick auf das Erreichen unserer Projektziele optimiert.
Aufgaben:
- Projektorientierte Weiterentwicklung der technischen Infrastruktur in enger Kooperation mit den Projektleiterinnen und Projektleitern
- Wissenschaftliche Begleitung von Forschungsprojekten im interdisziplinären Kontext zu Web Science, insbesondere in der technischen Integration der vorhandenen Infrastruktur
- Betreuung und Administration der Arbeitsplatzrechner der Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler unter XP/Vista/Win7
- Administration der Institutsserver, die unter CentOS laufen
Anforderungen:
- Wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium
- Fundierte Kenntnisse des Betriebssystems Linux (LPI Zertifizierung wünschenswert)
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse der Microsoft Betriebssysteme XP, Vista sowie Windows 7
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Bereich Medientechnik und Netzwerke
- Erfahrungen im Betrieb von Serverdiensten wie Postfix, Apache, MYSQL, LDAP
- Englische Sprachkenntnisse
- Einsatzbereitschaft, Eigeninitiative und eine lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
