ViFaChem 2 aims at providing a digital library infrastructure for creating personalized information spaces. The value added services and Scientific Web 2.0 techniques actively support scientists and researchers in retrieval tasks as well as in deriving new knowledge from the collected information.

 

SciXML Java Model

We are proud to announce the first beta release from our java SciXML model.
It contains a full java implementation of the original SciXML schema provided by the SciBorg project.
With this model it is now possible to implement against the java model, serialize that model as a SciXML file and also validate the so generated model.
So feel free to try it and give us feedback if you like.

For the future the library will be available through our maven repository.

Index Pages

As we experiment with improving the standard search technology, we used a set of chemical research papers from the open access journal ARKIVOC (http://www.arkat-usa.org) represented by HTML index pages.
The first set includes some basic informations, such as title and abstract. The second set extends the first set of index pages to also include the automatically extracted chemical entities and its more specific information.
